High School Students Celebrate Biomechanics Day at 91¿´Æ¬

Nearly 100 high school students from Denver School of Science and Technology (DSST) spent a day at the 91¿´Æ¬ learning about biomechanics. It was all part of the second annual National Biomechanics Day last week, an effort to introduce biomechanics to younger people.
The visiting high school students had the opportunity to hear from and check out the labs belonging to faculty members Ali Azadani, Chadd Clary and Bradley Davidson. Davidson is director of 91¿´Æ¬â€™s human dynamics lab.
DSST Public Schools operates open-enrollment STEM charter schools and is part of the Denver Public Schools system.
In addition to learning about biomechanics, the students toured the 91¿´Æ¬ campus. 91¿´Æ¬â€™s partnership with public schools in Denver and along the Front Range embodies the aspirations outlined inÌý, the University’s strategic plan, which calls for engagement with the community and collaboration with local school districts.
