Tuition Waiver

Eligible, appointed 91��Ƭ employees may use the tuition waiver benefit Tuition Waiver to cover all or part of the cost for credit-bearing single courses, certificates, or full degree programs at the 91��Ƭ. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Tuition Waiver webpage.

Please note that certain courses — especially graduate-level or non–job-related programs — may be subject to taxation. Additional information about tax rules is available on the Tuition Waiver Taxation page. For questions, contact benefits@du.edu.

Use Your Tuition Waiver to Pursue an Excel Certification!

Register for BUS 4700 Topics in Business: Microsoft Excel Cert. (1 credit) in fall, winter, or spring quarter to pursue your Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate certification. Explore real-world scenarios to gain skills with workbook formatting, data management, and basic formulas. This course offering expands access to labs that have supported undergraduate business students for years, bringing this professional development opportunity to the broader 91��Ƭ community in response to a request from the community. Skillscope® 360 Leadership Assessment

Give leaders clear, practical feedback on job-related skills so they realize strengths and identify areas for improvement. Simple to implement and easy to understand, Skillscope® helps you assess the core skills leaders need for success. Cost covered by unit/individual: $210. Discounts begin at 11+ assessments.��

Team Climate Survey

We provide team assessment for units, departments, and even divisions. We will work hand-in-hand with your group to assess whether this was the best course of action, and then administer the survey and consult with your team regarding the results.

CliftonStrengths

Learn your top five signature strengths, what they mean, and how to leverage them for professional and personal success with a workshop or one-on-one debrief from CliftonStrengths. Participants will first be asked to complete an online assessment and review an action planning guide. Assessments start at $24.99 per person and will need to be covered by the individual or the division requesting the assessment.

Via Character Strengths

Discover your core character strengths and how to apply them in your work, relationships, and daily life. Participants begin by completing a short online self-assessment that identifies their top character strengths across areas such as wisdom, courage, humanity, and transcendence. The assessment is completely free, and results can be explored through a workshop or a one-on-one debrief to deepen insight and support personal and professional growth.

Insights Discovery, Partnership with DCB-Executive Education, now Eligible for the Tuition Waiver!��

Insights Discovery is a psychometric tool based on the��psychology of Carl Jung that uses an accessible, practical model that increases self-awareness—the foundation on which all other human skills are built. Discover your communication style, understand the styles of others, and understand how to collaborate effectively. Through personal reflection and peer activities, you’ll gain practical skills and heighten self-awareness for improved professional relationships and increased performance.

Human Resources and Inclusive Community has partnered with DCB–Executive Education to offer the Insights Discovery assessment as a 1-credit course, making it eligible for the Tuition Waiver (eligibility requirements apply).

If you have a group of approximately 15 participants, a dedicated group session may be available. If you prefer to participate individually, please refer to the public sessions.

For those planning to use the Tuition Waiver, we encourage you to consider your available credits alongside other academic priorities. If a Tuition Waiver credit is not available, the assessment cost for group sessions may be covered by the participant’s department. The FY26 rate is $160 per participant, increasing to $170 in FY27.
